The idea of ‘FARMtastic WOMEN.com’ has been with me for a long time, growing and developing in my mind. After spending some years doing a foundation degree in Entrepreneurship and a Master’s degree in Female Entrepreneurship I feel that the time has come to take action and make it happen. Below will be a running story of the development of ‘FARMtasticWOMEN.com’ from this initial stage before I even have anything to sell, through to the growth phase of a thriving online business, and if any of my experiences can help you, it will have been worth adding them to this page.
THE LOGO
No business with respect for itself will want to be without an eyecatching logo, preferably something that portrays and supports the unique brand. I am lucky enough to have an artistic 12-year-old daughter who came up with the most amazing shape symbolizing a FARMtastic woman.
With a bit of help from a professional (for just £25 from www.50dolloarlogo.com), we finally arrived at this logo:

I was really pleased with that! To me that image contains everything I want to express with my business.
So after many years of preparing and procrastinating I finally finished two products ready to sell as self-study training courses and I found a website host that both provided a website creator for people like myself with no programming knowledge, but with the option of integrating html, so I could include my paypal buttons and make some sales. A vital aspect of any business! The company I use is www.one.com
The result of my website efforts can be seen at: www.farmtasticwomen.com

Hi Jeanne,
You have a lovely site. You seem to be doing what I have been afraid of doing [getting myself out there]. This is my second message to you. My first one got wiped out when I went to check another of your pages. So I have no idea of what I was talking about before! Anyway, I want to start an online business too and I am looking for ways to get started. I have only been ‘online’ for less than a year and have been recently researching ways to make money online. I have been led in circles by the information out there and am running on information overload at this point. I hope to hear back from you if you’re not too busy.
